An 18' Blue Spruce waits at the Tree Farm for it's new home.
A new home awaits it's new 18' Blue Spruce.
The site is prepared and a hole is made for the tree.
The dirt plug is removed from the site.
At the Tree Farm, we use a large metal hoop called a Baler mounted on our Bobcat to secure the branches for transport.
The front of the ring opens and the Baler is slipped around the trunk at the base.
As the Baler is lifted, the branches of the tree are tied with twine.
Once the Baler is removed, the tree is ready for the Spade.
The Tree Spade is opened and carefully backed into place around the tree.
The tree is removed with the same spade that the hole was predug with at the site.
Carefully secured to the Tree Spade, the tree is smoothly lifted by hydraulics.
The branches are secured with burlap for transport.
Once the tree arrives at the location, the spade is carefully positioned over the hole.
The hole, previously made by the same spade, is the perfect shape to place the tree into.
The hydraulics of the tree spade allow the operator to adjust the tilt while setting it into the ground.
Once the tree is in the ground, the tree spade is removed and stabilizing and feeding the tree begins.
After our crew has left, the only evidence that we were there at all is your new tree.
